Get started
Install the app, sign in once, and you're set. It stays signed in after that.
Install the app
iPhone / iPad Open this link on your iPhone and tap Get. apps.apple.com/us/app/logwright/id6789615875 Android Available on Google Play. Tap the link, then Install. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.southeastsys.hoursappSign in
- Open LogWright and enter the username and password from your welcome email.
- Tap Log In.
- Go to My Profile. The app asks you to set your own password. Pick one only you know and tap Save.
Log Hours
One entry per day. Takes about 20 seconds.
- DateDefaults to today. Tap it to pick an earlier day if you're catching up.
- Job / PositionTap "Select your job…" and choose the job you worked, for example 898 — LIONS. If your job isn't in the list (or you were at the shop), choose the option to type it in.
- Hours WorkedEnter your hours for the day, including any travel. Decimals are fine — 7.5 means seven and a half hours.
- Rental CarSwitch this on if you had a rental car that day. This feeds job costing, so don't skip it.
- Notes (optional)Anything the office should know about the day. If you traveled, say so here, for example "6 hrs travel to 896, 4 hrs work".
Tap Submit Hours and the entry is saved. It shows up in My History right away.
One entry per day
You can only have one entry for each day. If you submit a second entry for the same day, the app asks whether to replace the first one — it does not add them together.
Worked at two jobs, or traveled between jobs? Pick the job you spent most of the day on, enter your total hours, and explain the split in Notes.
My History
Everything you've logged, newest first, with weekly totals at the top.
The week cards
This Week and Last Week each show a bar for every day and a total in the corner. Today's day name is highlighted in blue. A flat line on a day means nothing was logged for it — an easy way to spot a day you missed.
Your entries
Below the cards is the full list. Each entry shows the date, the time you submitted it, the job, hours, and whether you had a rental car.
Edit Delete
- Edit opens the entry so you can fix the hours, job, rental car, or notes. Save it and the totals update.
- Delete removes the entry. Use it when you logged the wrong day or a duplicate.
My Profile
Your name, your settings, and the door to time-off requests.
- Edit NameChanges how your name appears in the app and on reports. Your username stays the same.
- UsernameShown for reference. This is what you sign in with — it can't be changed from the app.
- Dark ModeFlips the app to a dark color scheme. Purely personal preference.
- Change PasswordEnter your current password, then the new one twice.
- Log OutSigns you out on this phone. You'll need your username and password to get back in.
Request Time Off
Tap Request Time Off on the My Profile screen.
- Pick the Start Date and End Date. For a single day, set both to the same date.
- Add a Reason if you want to — vacation, personal day, appointment. It's optional.
- Tap Submit Request.
Your request appears under My Requests with its status. The office reviews it and you'll see it change to approved or denied there. Tap Tabs in the top-left to go back.
Common questions
- I forgot my password.
- Contact the office and they'll reset it for you. There's no reset link in the app.
- My job isn't in the list.
- The job list comes from the office. Let them know and log the hours once it's added — you can back-date the entry.
- I logged hours on the wrong day.
- Open My History, tap Edit on the entry, and change the date. Or delete it and re-enter.
- Can I log two jobs on the same day?
- Not as two entries — a second entry for the same day replaces the first. Enter your total hours on your main job and explain the split in Notes.
- Does the app work without signal?
- Yes. You can log hours with no service — the entry saves on your phone and sends to the office once you're back in range. No need to wait.
- Can I use it on more than one phone?
- Yes. Sign in with the same username and password on any phone or tablet.
